The 2nd Mercu Buana International Conference on Communication Science (MICoCS) is an academic event hosted by the Faculty of Communication Science, Univesitas Mercu Buana, Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a biennale conference that cover wide range of topics related to communication. For 2024, MICoCS will be held with the theme of fostering communication for sustainable collaboration and adaptability in the rapid digital transformation for global society.
Facing 2024, individuals, including academics, are facing changing in various aspects in the economy, social and political aspects of life. These aspects are inseparable from communication science as part of the branches in social sciences.
Future Indonesia as part of the rapid changing global society needs various perspectives to be able to involve in the highly competitive world. Therefore, collaborative among individuals and continuously adaptive are two of many key points to highlight for we cannot stop the rapid changing of advancement technology.
This is not the moment that we work in silo and take action individually. Thus, connectivity among continents, regions, and individuals are strongly encouraged. This conference provides the medium for collaboration, especially among academics, professionals, as well as students.
Therefore, Communication Study Program for both Bachelor and Master Degrees Programs at the Faculty Communication Science, Universitas Mercu Buana, Jakarta committed to continuously conducting a biennial MICoCS conference to accommodate and facilitate the need for both local and international collaborations and expansion of knowledge.
